OUR STORY

Seaborn was founded in Vancouver in 1983 during Japan’s economic boom, initially catering to Japanese tourists visiting Canada with popular souvenirs like smoked wild salmon, maple syrup, and seaweed with fish roe. The company expanded quickly, opening branches in Toronto, Montreal, Banff, and other cities.

 

By 2000, Seaborn began offering premium sashimi-grade seafood to Japanese restaurants and local residents in the GTA. In 2012, Seaborn Toronto became independently operated, relocated to Scarborough, and continued building a strong reputation while expanding into the local market. Today, it offers hundreds of high-quality seafood products.
