Product description
Konnyaku, the traditional cake made from konjac root, in the Kuro (dark) style. Its firm, pleasantly chewy texture carries almost no flavor of its own, soaking up the taste of whatever it is simmered with — a classic in oden, sukiyaki, and nimono simmered dishes. Naturally very low in calories and rich in glucomannan fiber; a white (Shiro) version is also available.
Storage & Handling
Store unopened in a cool, dry place per the package label.
After opening, drain, rinse, and refrigerate submerged in fresh water; change the water daily and use within 2–3 days.
Parboil briefly before cooking to remove any mild odor and improve texture.
