Product description

Imagawa yaki is the beloved Japanese street-snack cake — a thick, golden griddle cake sealed around a warm, sweet red bean (anko) filling, the same family as obanyaki (Ōban-yaki) and taiyaki. Crispy-edged outside, soft and cakey inside, with a molten center that makes it impossible to stop at one. These come frozen, so you can have a festival-style treat any time without a griddle in sight.

Storage & Handling

  • Keep frozen until reheating.

  • Reheat from frozen: toaster oven at 175°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes, or microwave 1–2 minutes until the filling is warm.

  • Let stand a minute before eating — the filling is very hot.

  • Do not refreeze after thawing.
