Product description
Experience the rich, distinctive flavor of wild-caught sockeye salmon, traditionally salted to enhance its natural flavor and firm texture. Freshly caught wild sockeye is carefully salted before freezing, creating a deliciously savory fillet with a naturally rich salmon taste.
A popular Japanese-style preparation, salted salmon is incredibly versatile and easy to enjoy. Simply grill or bake until the edges are lightly crisp and the salmon is tender and flaky. Serve with steamed rice, miso soup, or use it to make traditional salmon ochazuke.
Storage & Handling
Keep frozen at -18°C or below.
Thaw in the refrigerator before cooking.
Do not thaw at room temperature.
Once thawed, keep refrigerated and use promptly.
Do not refreeze after thawing.
Because this product is salted, no additional salt may be needed during cooking.
For the best texture and flavor, grill or bake until fully cooked and the flesh flakes easily.
Nutrition Facts — typical values per 100g
Because the salting process can significantly change the sodium content, I would not recommend using generic raw sockeye nutrition values for this product. Comparable salted/cured salmon products can have substantially different sodium levels depending on the curing method.
For the website, I suggest using this format until you have the supplier's actual nutrition label:
Calories: ~150 kcal
Total fat: ~6g (Saturated fat: ~1.5g)
Protein: ~21g
Carbohydrates: 0g
Sodium: Varies by curing process
Omega-3 (EPA + DHA): ~1.5g
Note: Values may vary slightly by catch, curing method, and batch. For the most accurate nutrition information, please refer to the product packaging.
